Health workers must be human-centred- Dr Amofa

New Abirem, Aug 15, GNA - The Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr George Amofa has called on health workers to be human-centred in dealing with patients in order to facilitate the healing process.

He emphasized that the attitude of medical staff go a long way to improve the well-being of clients.

Dr Amofa made the call when he visited the New Abirem Health Centre in the Birim North District as part of a duty tour of the Eastern Region, to assess the new GHS Customer Care Campaign. He noted that caring for patients is very important task and asked health workers to be compassionate, considerate and understanding to enable their clients to feel comfortable, confident and reassured.
