The Brong Ahafo supporters wing of Hearts of Oak has asked the club’s board member Alhaji Akanbi not to attend Sunday's league match against Aduana Stars in Dormaa.
They say they cannot guarantee his safety at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ismael Yusif read: ''The Brong Ahafo chapters wing of Glorious of Accra Hearts of Oak have met and and upon consideration the safety of Alhaji Akanbi cannot be guaranteed at Dormaa Ahenkro as the team visits Brong Ahafo for the first time in this season’s premiership.

''We come to realize that Alhaji Akanbi is now in-charfe of the day to day running of the team and he is not competent enough to manage an team like Hearts of Oak. He should be on the board and not as a management member.

''We are therefore appealing to the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State of the Volta Region, His Royal Highness Togbe Afede XIV to dissolve the strategic committee and appoint a substantive MD who can run that day to day activities of the club with his /her management members.

''Due to the current happenings in the team, the Brong Ahafo Regional Chapters committee is hereby telling Alhaji Akambi not come to Dormaa Ahenkro and if he does come, he does at his own risk.''
