Expectations were high as usual, ahead of the president's address to the nation on measures taken to combat Coronavirus in the country.
Ghanaians were expecting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 'their homes' for the eighth (8th) time since he began his addresses after the country's first two confirmed cases of COVID-19.
It was also the first (1st) address after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo lifted the partial lockdown directive which affected some parts of the country.
Ahead of the address which was slated for 8:00 pm though, some Ghanaians took to social media to pen down their expectations. It was a mix—bag of views and expressions. Whilst some were looking forward to a lift of the ban on schools' closure, others were suggesting a total lockdown.
Here’s a compilation of a few tweets ahead of the president’s 8th address
I'm expecting to hear 'Good news' tonight.

Please come and tell us something reassuring we beg. Cos 500+ cases in a week is scary ????
There is an observed positive correlation between the president's address and the weekly recorded covid19 cases.
