Justice Forson Agyapong, in his final ruling on the disputed parliamentary seats, has directed the Electoral Commission (EC) to recollate the results for the Techiman South constituency.
In the High Court judge's fourth and final judgment for the day, Justice Agyapong ruled in favour of the NPP and its candidate, Adjei Mensah Korsah, who had requested a writ of Mandamus to compel the EC to complete the collation of results in the Techiman South constituency.
The judge concluded that the EC had failed to finish the collation of results, stating that 147 polling stations are yet to be counted.
He also pointed out the EC's failure to act despite repeated demands to resolve the issue.
As per the ruling, the Electoral Commission has been ordered to complete the collation of results from the outstanding 147 polling stations and incorporate them into the existing data.
Also, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has been tasked with providing adequate armed security to ensure the collation process is completed smoothly and the winner is declared.
The Techiman South parliamentary seat is being contested by Dr. Christopher Bayere of the NDC and Adjei Mensah Korsah of the NPP.
