Members of the University of Ghana community were on Tuesday, thrilled with excitement as the Hilla Limann Hall organized its maiden edition of the UG’s Got Talent show.
The show, which was held on the basketball court in the Hall, attracted hundreds of patrons and was part of the activities put together for the Limann Hall Week.
According to the organizers, the event was aimed at helping unearth hidden talents in residents of the hall.
With 16 contestants, each came on stage exhibiting amazing musical talents.
Among them were instrumentalists, singers, and rappers
In the end, it was Sharon who won the day, winning for herself a talent management deal, souvenirs from sponsors and a cash prize of GHC 1,000.
Majesty came second, walking away also with a talent management deal, souvenirs from sponsors and GHC 500 as the cash prize.
Placing third was Amponsah, securing a talent management deal and souvenirs from sponsors.
Interacting with some of the patrons of the event, they were enthused about the organization and called for more of such programs on campus.
“I came here not really expecting much but I have been overwhelmed by the entertainment here. People came to sing, rap and do their own thing. For me, it was great, just that the person I was supporting was not among the top three winners, ” Harriet, a resident of the hall told UniversEntertainment
