In a heartwarming ceremony, Holy Spirit Catholic Polyclinic, Kwasi Fante of the Catholic Vicariate of Donkorkrom under the Diocese of Koforidua in the Afram Plains South District, proudly crowned Nanahemaa HSCP 1 (Queen Mother) as the first corporate queen for the facility, recognizing the role of the queen mother as a vital tool in the delivery of quality healthcare to the good people of Kwasi Fante in the Afram Plains South District of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Nanahemaa HSCP 1, who before her coronation was known in public as Victoria Adwoa Ofosua, was adjudged the winner of the coronation contest organized by the management of the facility.

She has been a shining example of selflessness and kindness, going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those around her.

Her tireless efforts have made a profound impact on her performance in the contest, leaving no doubts about her capabilities to propel the polyclinic and the community to the next level.

The coronation ceremony, attended by hospital staff, patients, and dignitaries, featured cultural display and glamour with a presentation on the need for an operating theater to be built for the facility.

Raymond Aryee, on behalf of management, appealed to the general public to support the construction of the theater project, as this will become the first theater in the district to help the growing numbers of pregnant women requiring cesarean sections and also to take care of other minor surgeries.

He mentioned that the project is not an entirely new one but a redesign of a sitting building currently housing the maternity unit to fit in the operation theater.

The ceremony, which forms part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the facility, was attended by all, including chiefs, queen mothers, community leaders, parliamentary candidates, youths, health workers, individuals, and the clergy.

The Nanahemaa HSCP 1 was presented to the public for the first time after blessing rites were done by the Catholic priest from the Maamekrobo parish, representing the Bishop of the Donkorkrom Vicariate, Bishop Alphonse Asiedu.

As our facility's Queen Mother, Nanahema HSCP 1 will be responsible for the marketing and public relations activities of the facility.

She is expected to lead the facility’s drive for the construction of the theater project through the innovation of solid ideas to raise funds for the project.

The newly crowned queen took the opportunity to thank everyone for the support she got from the people, especially from the district health directorate.

She, however, promised the management of the facility her readiness to go the extra mile to contribute towards the growth of the facility.
