Homosexuality, Pornography And Paedophilia Is Madness -Pastor

The pastor of Covenant House Chapel at Haatso-Accra, John Chaplain Awuah, has rubbished homosexuality, pornography, paedophilia, etc. as madness. He said this during the launching of his book titled: “CRAZY WORLD CRAZY CHRISTIAN” at the University of Ghana. According to the pastor the bible does not mince words in describing the evil lifestyles reported in our everyday news as madness. According to pastor Awuah, his objective of coming out with such a book was to set the tone for Christian discussion where current moral issues devastating our society (eg. Homosexuality) can be discussed and through the discussion to precipitate a cogent and coherent bible based viewpoint. To him, such massive viewpoint shall inform policy makers of our country about the stance of the majority on such issues. The book is also to give the church and its leaders introspective look at itself and consider their ways and to create awareness for the church to position herself for a true revival, through ‘positive madness’

Pastor Awuah deplored the current state of the world as crazy where homosexuality which was considered a mental and psychological disorder but was later considered as normal because of electoral votes stating that Homosexuals were not born with it, but like addictive evil practice like drugs and alcohol, they can be counselled and cured if they submit themselves stating that it is the highest form of human sexual debasement. On the entertainment industry, he stated that the nation can benefit alot if it is harnessed well but was quick to lash at lazy producers who are selling explicit sex materials to cash in on the youth and children.

On the church, Pastor John Chap Awuah took a swipe on immoral pastors and prophets who take advantage of the weak, sick, poor and ignorant to amass wealth and push their lustful agenda. He stirred up true men of God to stand upright and speak against such shameful practices of the so called men of God who are embarrassing the church of Christ. Pastor Awuah concludes his book by calling on Christians to join hands together to pray for heaven-sent revival of holiness in the midst of a crazy world.

The occasion was also used to launch SAVE GHANA 2012 for all prayer loving Christians to team up with his non-denomination Prayer Chariot Network to pray for a peaceful election. Apostle George Kingsley Amoako who performed the launching of this initiative said that Christians should seek the prosperity of the nation.

Rev. Clement Anchebah, Chairman of the International Presbytery of Fountain Gate Chapel also encouraged Christians to stand out for Christ.
