Hon. Afoley Quaye's response to the water crisis in Nungua Krowor

In the midst of Coronavirus, where hand washing under running water became a key precautionary measure, the people of Nungua were hit be water crisis.

People had to join long ques for hours to fetch a bucket of water for Ghc. 2.00 as they look forward for the Ghana Water Company to open their taps sooner than later.

To their surprise, the Water crisis lasted over a month. The member of Parliament for Krowor Constituency, in the person of Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye intervened and therefore provided 17,000 litres of water at vantage points in her constituency to enable the inhabitants to get Water in their homes and for the effective hand washing under running water as suggested by the WHO and MOH/GHS to help minimise the spread of COVID, 19 viral infections in her constituency.

The 17,000 litres of water approximately contains 3, 740 gallons of water.

Currently, the poly tanks are situated in nine zones in the constituency. Namely;

1. Good shepherd 2. Nungua Akpeshika 3. Nungua Kings way 4. Nungua police station 5. Nungua P & T 6. Nungua Heaven Bridge 7. Nungua Zongo 8. Nungua Methodist 9. Quaye Nungua

The people were overwhelmed with the continual love and care demonstrated by the Member of Parliament.

They expressed gratitude to her and the entire team and wished them well in the upcoming elections.
