Hospital complex not functioning

Faithkope, Ada -- A lot of concerns have been raised over the long delay in opening the newly built Dangbe East District Hospital for public use at Faithkope, Ada.

The 60 bed ultra-modern facility which was completed in April this year, is not operating despite the procurement of drugs and other accessories.

But the Dangme East District Chief Executive, Mr. Kofi Plahar, has explained that the award of the contract for the construction of the hospital did not include staff accommodation.

According to him, the district assembly has entered into negotiations with some landlords in the area to secure a temporary place for the staff and as and when they finalize the deal, the hospital will be commissioned.
