I Will Not Resign - Sulemana

Abubakar Sulemana of the National Security Office who has been accused of involvement in the Yendi massacre of 40 people, including the overload of Dagbon, Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II, says no amounts of threats, accusations and proactive words would force him to resign his sensitive position in the national security apparatus. ?I know those who are hiding behind these individuals and organizations calling for my resignation. They are making the noise to achieve their political ambition.?

Major Sulemana who is also the Regent of Tolon told the ?Chronicle? in an interview that his presence at the National security office is a threat to enemies of the NPP administration who want to retard the progress it has so far made.

Major Sulemana cautioned that those people perpetuating the diabolic acts to destabilize the Kufuor administration would definitely face the music.

?If anybody takes a gun to attack the Kufuor administration, surely I will retaliate, even if I am far away in Tolon.? Major Sulemana?s Boss, Joshua Hamidu who was also cited for complicity has resigned his position to enable him to take legal action against those who have accused him of involvement in the attacks.

But Major Sulemana says his presence in the security apparatus can do nothing to impede the work of the commission set up to investigate the incident. He noted that those who have assess to the situation at Yendi know the truth and expressed confidence in the Commission of Enquiry saying they would definitely unearth the truth.
