President John Mahama on Sunday began his tour of the Ashanti Region to campaign for votes, ahead of the December 7 General Elections.
His first rally was held at Juaso, where he called on the people to see him as the leader who can best unify the nation and accelerate development of the country.
President Mahama told the people the NDC had distinguished itself as a development-oriented organisation, within their first term in government.
According to him, this makes it right for the people vote for him and the NDC for another term, to enable them continue developing the country.
He was optimistic the NDC will in the elections and also make great strides in the Ashanti Region.
The President also visited Agogo, Dwoboroso Kumawu and Asante Mampong.
