I believe President Akufo-Addo – NDC Deputy Director of Communications

Deputy Director of Communications for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwaku Boahen has said President Akufo-Addo is not a person who would give chance to his ministers or appointees to do things their own way without consulting him.

“I believe Nana Addo and I know he will make sure no one under his administration takes a decision per his/her office without his knowledge. This makes me understand without doubt that he is behind the recent removal and departure of office by some government appointees who served in former President Mahama’s government. Your seat would be made hot to the extent that the best option to save your life would be to leave the post,” he said.

Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme on speculations about the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie’s appointment to assume the post of the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Mr. Boahen said “I was not surprised at this news because Sir John needs to be rewarded for his propagandist job done for the party for the past years aimed at bringing it back intopower.”

Sir John previously worked at the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) as a Deputy Chief Executive Officer in an acting position during President John Kufuor’s administration and also as head of Legal Services.

Even after their victory he continues with his job asking previous government appointees to leave their post or else they would be forced to leave their post.

According to him all they want to hear and see is Nana Addo and his government working hard to fulfill their promises than wanting to complain about the same things they condemned while NDC were in government.
