The embattled National Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo says out of the abundance of his heart he cried unto the Almighty God asking Him why He’s allowed him[Ofosu Ampofo] to go through such an ordeal.

According to the Elder of the Church of Pentecost, he’s innocent of the kidnapping allegation that has been leveled against him, adding that his hands and heart is clean.

Chairman Ofosu Ampofo was arrested last week by the Police in connection with the kidnapping cases but has since been granted bail.

According to the CID, a suspect has named him as the brain behind the recent upsurge in kidnappings across the country.

This comes after an audio in which he was allegedly inciting violence leaked.

But speaking during a Thanksgiving service at the Royalhouse Chapel International in commemoration of the 27th anniversary of the NDC party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo stated that he’s convinced that God will redeem him and clear his name of any such crime.

“Apostle General I’m here on this alter and praying to God that the good Lord should intervene in this case. My hands are clean and my heart is clean, the battle is not for me, the battle is the Lord’s and he’ll win it for me.

He added: “Recently I prayed and cried and I asked God if you knew this was going to be my lot why did you allow me to win this election. But the Lord asked me to go back and read Exodus and see what Moses went through and he told me that the Egyptians you see today tomorrow you’ll see them no more. I have the belief and confidence that the Almighty God we serve will redeem me and my his name to be glorified.”
