Speaking in the wake of being granted bail by the courts, Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh claimed he was not responsible for the murder for which he is charged.

The Managing Director of Obengfo Hospital, Dr Dominic Obeng-Andoh has spoken for the first time on the issue involving a charge of murder that has been leveled against him.

Dr Obeng-Andoh is accused of the death of Stacy Offei-Darko after the latter received medical attention from the doctor.

The late Stacy Offei-Darko was the deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship Programme (NEIP).

She is survived by her toddler daughter she allegedly had with Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Ken Agyapong.

Dr Obeng-Andoh got into national prominence over the last five years having aggressively advertised his services over TV and radio.

He offered among other things, liposuction and body-sculpting for mostly women.

Many celebrities were even thought to have been former clients of the doctor.

YEN.com.gh carried a story of how whistle-blower alleged that Moesha Buduong and others had been to the Obengfo Hospital. But speaking after his bail, Obeng-Andoh reportedly said:

“My client came for liposuction and I later heard that she had died but she didn’t die as a result of the liposuction because there were no complications associated with the procedure.

She has been at my hospital twice and so why would she come back again for the second time if indeed we didn’t do a good job?".

The doctor was charged with murder over a month ago but now on bail. The case is expected to be recalled before the courts soon.
