I don’t own land in Tema – Bryan replies The Chronicle

Bryan Acheampong, Minister of State Bryan Acheampong, Minister of State

The Minister of State in charge of National Security, Hon. Bryan Acheampong has described as malicious the publication by The Chronicle newspaper that sought to indict him for abuse of office.

In a quick response to the allegations levelled against him by the paper, he said the publication was a ploy his detractors to derail his focus and attempt to deal with the land guard menace.

The Minister stated that his efforts to deal with land guards have been misconstrued.

“I do not own a land in Tema, neither do I know any community called Gbetsele in Tema let alone own land there. I do not have a related party interest in any land in Tema or Gbestele. Our efforts to deal with landgaurds should not be misconstrued”.

According to him, it was wicked for The Chronicle newspaper to drag his office into needless pitches to make sales.

He said it was the second attempt by Chronicle to drag his office and his humble self into these needless sales pitches just to sell their newspaper.

He cautioned journalists not to avail themselves to be used as instruments of destruction to drag people’s hard-earned reputation into the mud.
“No journalists can intimidate this quest. Journalists should not allow themselves to be used,” he concluded.
