Renowned communications expert Professor Audrey Gadzekpo has said she does not regret not being married.

According to her, she has a fulfilled life and does not feel incomplete because she is not married.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, the Dean of the School of Information and Communications Studies at the University of Ghana said she does not allow marital status to define her.

She downplayed suggestions that her high educational standing could intimidate her potential suitors.

“I think I have very good relationships with men and I don't intimidate them….I'm not married but I'm unavailable.

“I don’t regret not being married… I have kids and I have such a fulfilled life that I don’t spend time thinking about such things. I thank God that he gave me a profession that I really love. I love the teaching and the journalism,” she stated.

Prof. Gadzekpo has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research and advocacy on media, gender and governance, and more than 25 years of practical experience as a journalist, working variously as a reporter, editor, contributor, columnist, talk show host, socio-political commentator and magazine publisher/editor.

She obtained a doctorate degree in African Studies at the University of Birmingham, U.K., a Master of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University, Utah, USA and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Ghana.
