Prophet Paul Kusi Appiah, popularly known as the Warrior-Prophet, the founder and leader of Nyametease Ampa Prayer Ministry in Kumasi, has accepted that he has been defeated in his consistent prophecy on the 2024 elections.

According to him, even though his prophecy failed to manifest, he aims to work hard in the spiritual realm and bounce back.

Prophet Kusi Appiah had previously prophesied that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who doubled as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the just-ended 2024 general elections, would emerge victorious.

He stated at the time that nothing could change what God had planned in the spiritual realm, hence his prophecy would come to pass.

He also mentioned that he had seen the attire that the Vice President and his potential vice, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, would wear on their inauguration day on January 7, 2025.

However, after the close of polls on December 7, the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Jean Mensa, on Monday, December 9, declared John Mahama the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) the winner, with a total of 6,328,397 votes.

Dr. Bawumia received 4,657,304 votes.

Mahama's party, the NDC, achieved historic success by gaining a majority in Parliament. According to the National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, the party has so far won 185 parliamentary seats.

Responding to the new development in a sermon to his congregation on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Prophet Kusi Appiah stated, "God revealed a lot to me and all came to pass, so I was expecting victory, not other things.

“Unfortunately, my candidate and the one I was praying for lost the election. Let us all support the incoming president, John Mahama. He has just four years. Whether you like it or not, he is the one that God has given to us, so we have to support him in prayers to have a successful government."

He continued, "But I am assuring you that I know for sure that I have been defeated this time, but next time the Lord will make a way where there is no way. I assure you that Bawumia will contest again, and we will do everything."

"For things that didn’t go well, Bawumia will bounce back stronger, and I will also bounce back stronger. The church will live on because everyone knows that the Lord has given me a real gift and power from the most high God."
