Father of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, Captain Dennis Mahama (Rtd) has disclosed that, he never pointed a gun at any human to talk of killing in the years he worked as a military officer.

His comment comes after some images and audio recording went viral on social media citing him as a member of the 1979 military firing squad that executed former Head of State General Ignatius Kutu Acheampong during the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) regime under the leadership of Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.

Speaking in an interview with Akwasi Boateng on " Maakye" educative show on Hot93.9fm, Captain Dennis Mahama (Rtd) denied the allegation by revealing that, during his days as a military officer, he never pointed a gun at any human to talk of shooting or even killing; hence describing the allegations as a malicious intent to tarnish his image.

"Let me say this on record, if I'm telling lies, God should punish me a hundred times that since I joined the army from 1975 to 1985 when I retired as a Captain, I never pointed a gun at any body. I use my hand to point at people but not a gun. I went on peace keeping operations at Lebanon and I never used a gun. I have never killed a human being not even on a battle field or held a gun and said; hey, stand there if you move, I will shoot you." He stressed.

According to him, the image that has going viral was shot in Liberia adding that, he has never been to Liberia before and wonders why anyone will create such lies against him.

"You can Google it and you will find out that, the image circulating around was taken in Liberia and I have not even been to Liberia before. After the tragic death of my son my family has received a lot of support and condolences of Ghanaians, and I feel that some people are not happy with the love we are receiving from Ghanaians hence their evil intention to start these lies against
