The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Anthony Karbo says he has not resigned his position.
According to reports, Mr Karbo tendered in his resignation on October 3, to contest the newly created Lawra constituency parliamentary primaries, which he won over the weekend.
He polled 279 votes to beat the regional secretary Stephen Koo Ngmen.
But the NPP National Youth Organizer told XYZ News that he is still at post.
“All this speculation about my resignation is certainly not true; I am still fully in charge of the youth wing of the NPP.
“My message to the NDC is that they should stay off the Lawra seat because Lawra is the Bantama in the North, there is no way the NDC and their candidate will make any meaningful impact here” Mr Karbo said.
Mr. Karbo added that he would still be the Youth Organizer of the NPP even he wins the Lawra seat in the Upper West stating that “there is absolutely nothing wrong with that”.
