'I hooked up with someone two weeks to our wedding' – Wife confesses on live radio after husband's secret DNA

A husband's decision to take advantage of a free DNA test offered by a radio station unfolded into a story of shock, heartbreak, betrayal and a marriage thrust into a complex situation.

On a recent episode of 3FM's drive-time show hosted by AJ Akuako Sarpong, a husband named Brandon chose to have a DNA carried out on his seven-year-old son.

Brandon stated that his decision was purely motivated by the free nature of the test, not because he harboured any doubts about the paternity of his son.

In line with Brandon's firm conviction, the DNA test, announced on live radio, came back positive, confirming him as the father of the child.

However, the plot twisted when the host called Brandon's wife, Cindy, to inform her of her husband's secret undertaking.

Expressing surprise and curiosity about Brandon's motivation, Cindy confessed that she had her own doubts about the paternity of the child due to an affair with another person about two weeks before their wedding ceremony.

"Yes, I do have doubts. I kind of hooked up with somebody two weeks before we got married, or something like that. That's all," she stated.

"Yeah, well, I did have something with somebody two weeks, or whatever, I think two weeks before we got married. I found out I was pregnant literally about a month later," she confirmed when probed further by the host.

Upon being informed of the DNA results, Cindy could not help but heave a sigh of relief.

"Thank you, Jesus, at least it ends here. My marriage is safe," she stated.

However, her relief quickly turned to utter shock when she was informed by the host that her husband was on the line, prompting her to scream.

"I have been very upset for a while because I am finding it very difficult to believe that I have been sleeping on the same bed with somebody... and I am now finding out that you had something to do with somebody before our marriage, and you couldn't tell me.

"So, if I had not taken this test, you would have been living with doubts until when, Cindy, until when?" Brandon queried.

In her defense, Cindy retorted, "It's not exactly what you are thinking. Why did you do that?"

"Can we talk about this on our own? It was a mistake," she added.

Following this development, the host directed the couple to speak to a resident psychologist off-air."
