I?ll Own A Quarter Of Ghana -Agyepong

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament is threatening to own ?a quarter of Ghana.? He has also denied any involvement in the smuggling of cocaine to the United States of America and elsewhere.

The usually noisy Member of Parliament told an Accra based radio station that those who accuse him of involvement in drug deals are doing him a favour because by the time they realize he would be the proud owner of a quarter of Ghana.

?If people know the business you do, they will sabotage you, so let them say I am doing cocaine business, by the time they realize I will own a quarter of Ghana,? he said. A fuming Kennedy Agyepong told the interviewer that he knows the guy who posted an article on the web, accusing him of drug dealing. ?I swear to God, If I meet him, anywhere, I will deal with him,? he said.

Mr Agyapong was full of praise for former President Jerry John Rawlings and the Managing Editor of The Insight. He said, ?I am like them. We all speak our mind.? In the same breath, Mr Agyapong accused the Managing Editor of The Insight of exaggerating the level of suffering and tension in the country. He said by exaggerating the situation, Mr Pratt had been subversive of the democratic era.

On the solidarity action taken by Mr Pratt in sympathy with the TV Africa crew who were allegedly detained at the private residence of the President, Mr Agyapong said if he had been in the country he would have countered that action. He said he would have stopped Mr Pratt from taking the photograph and shown him that he (Agyapong) is a man.
