I'll not quit politics until NDC is destroyed -Minister

Speculation that Ibrahim Cudjoe Quaye, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, will retire alongside his boss, President John Agyekum Kufuor, has been dismissed by the Minister himself.

Speaking exclusively to the Statesman he said that he would not quit until the demise of the opposition, the NDC.

He also said that he would not quit politics as long as there is the possibility that the NDC may come back to power.

He also revealed the fact that he was grooming several members of the party to succeed him when he does retire and is not just planning for his son to succeed him.

In reacting to the accusations that he is a praise singer for the President, he said that he merely states the truth about the party and it is not what people want to hear.

He also said that since the NPP is not known for blowing it’s own trumpet they should now try their best to sell their own achievements as this is what he intends to do.

In commenting on the impasse of the new stalls at Kwame Nkrumah circle he said he has sent for AMA to send him a report on the matter.
