An aspiring candidate for the position of Greater Accra Regional Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr William Vinyo says he will recapture majority of the parliamentary seats in the region when elected in the upcoming regional elections.

He also promised to work hard in order to increase the number of votes for the party’s presidential candidate in Greater Accra come December 2020.

Speaking to the media in Accra, Mr Vinyo who’s the outgone Vice Chairman of Obom-Domeabra constituency charged all aspirants who lost in the branch and constituency elections to bury their difference and join forces with the elected executives to ensure that the party wins the general election.

He further advised the elected executives to work assiduously with the defeated aspirants to ensure unity within the party that would make the party triumph come 2020 general election.

Describing himself as a loyal party man, Chairman Vinyo as he is affectionately called said the NDC can only have a good and prosperous future if the party emerges victorious in the district assemblies’ election next year which he indicated is a project he would undertake.

He accused the NPP government of dealing dubiously with the Ghanaian public, especially with the economy of the country.

Commenting on the administration of the Nana Akufo Addo’s government, he observed that it has been full of corruption and bad governance.

He called on supporters and sympathisers of the party to ensure decency in their campaigns as they seek votes from delegates in the upcoming regional election.

This he stated would brighten its chances of recapturing power come 2020.

Chairman Vinyo, said the party under his leadership in the region, would be attractive not only to party loyalties but also the flouting voters that would ensure the party’s election in the next general election.

Mr Vinyo who doubles as the Nkosuohene (development chief) of Kofi Kwei near Amasaman in the Ga East Municipality cautioned Ghanaians against any decision to vote the New Patriotic Party again in 2020.
