Former Member of Parliament for North Dayi, George Loh has threatened to shoot anyone that tries to seize his on suspicion that he is keeping state vehicle.

According to Loh who is a lawyer, his vehicle is a personal property he acquired through hard work and no one has the right to seize it unlawfully.

Loh was speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkra in reaction to President Akufo Addo’s condemnation of violent seizures of state assets by some suspected activists of the ruling New Patriotic Party in his State of The Nation’s Address yesterday.

The former law maker said he was impressed with the president’s posturing on the seizures of assets suspected to be long to the state which is currently ongoing.

He said, “Kwame, I have been a lawyer for almost ten years and during my professional career, I have saved enough money to acquire some property.”
George Loh adds, “there is no way I’m going to allow any criminal or some political party’s youth organiser in some region to try seizing my car…I will shoot the person.”

“That’s self-defence…I’m defending myself and my property and the law allows me the right to protect myself against danger or any form of threats,” he added.

“Let me put it on record that I have no state vehicle in my possession. All the cars I am using belong to me and I legitimately bought them through my ten years of hard work.”

“These so called Invincible Forces are going about seizing responsible citizens’ cars and I won’t tolerate that…I am warning them that if they attempt to do it to me I will deal with them as armed robbers… I will crush them,” he warned.

George Loh failed to enter parliament the second time after he was defeated by 27-year old final year law student at University of Cape Coast in the NDC’s parliamentary primaries.

Joycelyn Tetteh obtained 3,037 votes leaving George Loh with 2,209. Another contender Prof. Gavua got 1,309 in the parliamentary primaries organised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
