An aspiring Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nii Dodoo, has vowed to make the unity and cohesion of the party his focus if he elected.

The party has scheduled November 3, this year, to elect new national executives at Trade Fair in the Greater Accra Region.

Already, branch and regional executives of the party across the country, have been elected ahead of the national executive elections in November.

Currently, about eleven candidates including George Lawson, are contesting for the Deputy General Secretary position.

According to Nii Dodoo, the NDC could only beat the incumbent government, if it unites for a common course.

He believes he is the right candidate to lead that task.

He said, “After working efficiently in the Greater Accra for almost 9-10 years, I understand the dynamics of the region and after getting involved with other regional executives, I know what it takes to be there. I want to pick this position up so that I can support the General Secretary in solving problems, bringing people together, bringing cohesion and unity between the branches, constituency and regions.”

He added, “…with all these experiences and understanding practically if am giving the nod, it will be easier to transform the party into the new step that we want to go so that cohesion and unity of winning the 2020 polls will be easier”.

Nii Dodoo argues he stands tall among all the other aspirants for the position as“the precious experience you have, the way you make people fee, the way you solve problems, the way you stand between the rich and poor, that is my traits, that is my power, that is what the people want and that is what the party needs’’.
