Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received the blessings of the Paramount Chief of the Builsa Traditional Area, Sandem-Nab Azagsuk Azantilow II in his bid to become President of the country.

The traditional leader expressed confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership abilities and predicted his victory in the 2024 General Elections.

During a visit to the palace on July 26, 2024, Dr. Bawumia was warmly received by the Paramount Chief, who praised his character and vision for Ghana. The chief noted that Dr. Bawumia’s historic win in the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries was a testament to his manifest destiny and a sign of things to come.

In his welcome speech, Nab Azantilow said, “Your Excellency, permit me to convey my felicitations on your nomination as leader and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Your resounding victory at the primaries last year affirms your sterling qualities as a politician, leader, and human being.”

The revered Chief wished Dr. Bawumia well in his campaign, praying for victory so that, in 2025, when they would meet again, Dr Bawumia will be the President of the Republic.

“I wish you well in your campaign and pray for Allah’s blessings for you, your family, and campaign team…I look forward to meeting you in 2025 as President of the Republic, Insha Allah.”

Dr Bawumia’s team acknowledged the Paramount Chief’s warm welcome and well-wishes and proceeded to conduct their campaign in the Builsa Traditional Area.
