Former Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and National Women's Organiser of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hanna Bissiw, says she is proud being a hairy woman.

The comment comes after the NDC kingpin was attacked for exposing the hair on her chest and cleavage in a picture which went viral during the “Agbe wo” demonstration.

Hanna Bissiw, joined the "Aagbe wo" demonstration on Thursday to protest against the acts of violence that erupted during at the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. Among pictures from the demonstration was that of the NDC women organizer which revealed her “hairy” chest.

The picture was, however, met with a backlash as the controversial politician was called names over the supposed “hairy” picture.

However, speaking in an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, National Women Organiser of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hanna Bissiw, claimed that her hairy chest is a known secret and the NPP using that to score cheap political points is a non-starter.

“The NPP is very desperate, I am wonderfully and beautifully made by God. I am a proud hairy woman,” she said.

The Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty staged 'Aagbe wo’ demonstration to protest the violence at the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.

MPs and members from the various parties in opposition joined the walk and proceeded to the Police Headquarters where the group presented a petition to the Interior Ministry.

The protest started from the Nkrumah Circle Interchange in Accra through the Interior Ministry, the police quarters and ended at the Flagstaff House.
