Veteran Ghanaian journalist, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has expressed anger over public commentary regarding the MP for Lawra constituency, Anthony Abayifa Karbo over Anas’ latest exposé.

According to Kwasi Pratt, he is getting extremely furious over treatment being meted out the NPP deputy minister by the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM on Wednesday, the Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper called on critics of Anthony Karbo to desist from creating the impression as if he is a criminal suspect.

To him, the deputy Roads Minister has not been charged by any competent court, therefore unfair media commentary condemning him to death must seize immediately.

“I am furious. We’re creating the impression that Anthony Karbo is a criminal suspect. On what basis, what crime has he committed to deserve such treatment?” Angry Kwasi Pratt questioned.

Mr Pratt in his media interaction insisted that it will be utterly unfair and judgmental for anyone to tag Anthony Karbo corrupt in Anas’ latest exposé.

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is currently under CID investigations for defrauding by false pretense in an initial comment has named Anthony Karbo in connection with the exposé.

This has allegedly earned him an invitation to respond to police invitation in an ongoing interrogation over the scandal.

Though the NPP man on Monday honoured the invitation of the CID in the company of his lawyer, Gary Nimako, he is said to have spent 20 minutes in writing his statement and responding to some queries.

Meanwhile, a section of the Ghanaian public has taken to various social media platforms to express mixed feelings about the alleged involvement of the deputy minister in the GFA scandal.
