After 14 years of marriage, an anonymous Ghanaian man has boldly confessed to his wife of being gay.

Though his confession has cost his marriage, in his message to popular Facebook Papa Bondze-Mbir, he admitted, it's of great happiness to him since he can now freely have his 'male' partner.

"The next thing I knew, she had left the house, left our son and taken our daughter, packed a few of her belongings, and that was that. She’s not at her parents or friends house. She is not answering my calls either."

He explained that he only married his wife purposely to fit into the discriminated Ghanaian society.

"Before marrying my wife, I was into men. I love men, and my current male partner and I have been an item for 14 years. I married my wife not because of love. I needed to ‘fit’ in the society of ‘Men’. I wanted to at least, also have a child. My male partner is also married and we’ve been extra careful since."

His wife who has since threatened to expose him, if he comes close to her.

"Hello David,

Before marrying my wife, I was into men. I love men, and my current male partner and I have been an item for 14 years. I married my wife not because of love. I needed to ‘fit’ in the society of ‘Men’. I wanted to at least, also have a child. My male partner is also married and we’ve been extra careful since.

A few months ago, my wife started believing I could be having an affair. I had been denying her suspicions until she confronted me one day to tell her the truth. According to her, she sensed it somehow. I played a lot of mind games with her to make her think it was all in her head, but she wouldn’t let her suspicions go.

I opened up about my relationship with the other man. I did not mention any names initially, but then she wanted to know who, so I told her the truth. The next thing I knew, she had left the house, left our son and taken our daughter, packed a few of her belongings, and that was that. She’s not at her parents or friends house. She is not answering my calls either.

I went to her office the other day and she let the security men throw me out. It was so embarrassing. She’s threatened to expose me if I do not keep my distance from her. Our son needs his mother, but she’s refusing to see that. What do I do, really? Because, it’s not like – I am even in love with her. I just like and respect her as the mother of my children. I do everything a husband ought to do for a wife. I am responsible for the home and the kids.

What else does she need? I will not be made to choose between her and my male partner, because I am very much in love with him. Can’t a woman just try to understand and be cooperative?”
