The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has paid tribute to his former press aide, Kwabena Boadu who died a few weeks to last year’s general elections, describing him as caring and brilliant young man who became my rock.
In a post on Facebook to mark a year’s anniversary after the death, Dr. Bawumia said he misses Kwabena every single day. He was an unassuming, caring and brilliant young man who became my rock. I keep asking God “why?”.
On November 24, 2016, the 30-year-old Kwabena Boadu was found dead in his hotel room in Wa, the Upper West regional capital in the run-up to the general elections. It is believed he died from electrocution in his hotel room.
He was laid in state on Saturday, 4 February 2017 at the forecourt of the State House and buried at Achimota cemetery.
