The minority leader of Parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has stated that he respects former President John Kufuor than any other person in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to the Suame MP, his respect for the former President stems from the fact that he is the only leader of the party, so far, to have led the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition to power.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat on Starr FM, the fine- speaking legislator noted that the former President remains a pillar in the party.

When asked by Bola Ray who he respects most in the NPP, Mr. Mensah Bonsu responded: “for his performance for the party, I would say; former President John Agyekum Kufuor”.

He added: “He has been the most successful leader of our party; to have won elections on some two occasions. He broke the cycle for us, for that, I respect him a lot”.

The minority leader also noted that the NPP will be willing to accommodate its suspended national chairman Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyepong if they admit that they erred and apologise to the party.
