Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Harry Zakour Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Harry Zakour

The 2nd Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Harry Zakour has said he owns the Accra based Montie 100.1 FM with the purpose of propagating the good works of the ruling NDC and defuse the lies perpetrated by the opposition NPP.

The former board member of the Accra Hearts of Oak said, "let me tell you today, Montie FM is mine. It’s because of what Peace FM is doing that made me set it up to counter the lies and political games the NPP was playing, he said.

Mr. Zakour was speaking at a door-to-door campaign in the Klottey Korle constituency organized for Dr. Zanetor Rawlings.

He admonished all supporters of the party in the Klottey Korley constituency to vote massively for Dr. Zanetor Rawlings because she is a "good candidate" who is strong and a good girl.

He likened her [Dr. Zanetor] to former President Rawlings who had the nation at heart and challenged the supporters to give her the opportunity to lead the party in the constituency.

He lambasted the current MP, Hon. Nii Armah Ashitey for performing abysmally and failing to serve the interest of the constituents.

Mr. Zakour said, "Rawlings is our father and our founder, he brought Hon. Nii Ashitey who has today turned his back on him [Rawlings] but he [Rawlings] has brought us his daughter who is formidable and committed, so give her the chance."

"I have brought you a good candidate, she is good so don’t lose her. Do not allow Hon. Nii Armah Ashitey to deceive you because he does not deserve your vote," he added.
