Twenty-Seven (27) year-old widow of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama who was gruesomely murdered by residents of Denkyira-Boase in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central region has revealed she continues to hear the voice of her husband.
Speaking in an interview with GHOne TV, Barbara Mahama disclosed that she had become strong over time because it is the wish of her late husband to be.
“I could not believe my eyes when I saw the images of body of Maxwell. I can still hear his voice directing me, Barbara do this, don’t do that. Today I knew he would want me to give out his breakfast. Today I knew he would want me to be bold and speak so I did. Maxwell today I did it for you”, she disclosed.
She disclosed that the brutal killing of her husband has toughened her up, and stated no one deserves to go through the kind of torture her husband experienced.
The late army officer, Major Maxwell Adam Mahama met his untimely death after some irate youth of Denkyira-Obuasi charged on him, killing him instantly. The aggrieved youth ignored his pleas after they accused him of being an armed robber. Late Major Mahama who was given a state burial left behind a wife, Barbara and two kids.
