An European woman of Spanish-Arab origins has denied allegations that she has been involved in an amorous relationship with President John Agyekum Kufuor, and has had twin boys for him. (Read: Who Is The Father Of Phillip & John ?)
The twins, according to a newspaper report are named John and Phillip Kufuor. The woman, Ms Gizelle Yagzi, a former advisor/consultant to the Minister of Finance & Economic Planning, was speaking on a long distance phone conversation form her base in Europe to an Accra Radio Station last Wednesday, April 7. The interview was in reaction to a story styled as a unsubstantiated rumours by several news editors who had heard it, several months before. Certain editors had, even reportedly confronted the President with the issue which he had already denied, and therefore, it became a non-issue, so far as those editors were concerned.
Ms Gizelle emphasized further that she has never had a personal relationship with the Ghanaian President, and she knows too well that she has not been pregnant for some years now.
?I don?t have any child by President Kufuor, I don?t have any baby. I have two children. My son is 20years old, and my daughter is 18years old. I don?t have babies. She moaned that all she wanted for Ghana was to bring more development, and enhance education, but I had to stop them because of all those lies. She related that the issue is causing distress to their two families, hers and the Kufour's adding that, she does not believe ?this is the way to win elections?.
She remarked that she had never had twins. Besides, she doesn?t have babies. ?I didn?t have any relationship with his Excellency President Kufuor, she said: ?and I ask any person, anybody who has any doubts about this to go to the ward and find this birth certificate, and if this is true, I am swearing her to ask anybody to go and make sure. This is a lie, she stressed, yet again this is a big lie.
The tale has for the past 6 months been making the rounds in the grapevine that the President of the Republic of Ghana had had twin babies with a foreign lady.
Part of the rumour had it that the first lady, Mrs. Theresa Kufuor is on the brink of divorcing the president for his alleged extra-marital affair. They even speak of volumes of tears flowing from the eyes of the first lady and several bedroom quarrels between the first couple which some newspapers claim they are privy to. They even suggested that the Independent newspaper, managed by Mr. Egbert Faibille Jnr. had sat on the story and had refused to release it to the public for reasons best known to him.
