Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong says money he offered as bounty for whoever may provide relevant information to arrest killers of Tiger Eye member, Ahmed Hussein-Suale is to help redeem his good image that has been marred by undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

Speaking on Adom TV’s ‘Badwam’ show Tuesday, Mr. Agyapong expressed anger and disappointment in the fact that Anas, who was directly affected by the incident could not take a first step of visiting the bereaved family to ascertain the real issues on the ground but resorted to revealing a defamatory video linking him (Mr. Agyapong)to the horrid murder.

He is hopeful that the money is enough motivation for any person who have adequate credible information and evidence to lead to the arrest of perpetrators of the ghastly crime.

“100,000 bounty because Anas has disgraced me, himself and his lawyer, they’ve disgraced me badly, I have to redeem my image and let the truth come out. And I’m telling you, it’s not 100 cedis alone oh. If they arrest the person and prosecute him for committing that murder, I’ll give that person a year because no amount of money can even save my image till an arrest is made,” he stated.

He added, “If that arrest is made and evidence provided, I’ll buy him one year of his jail term. I’m not going to say what action I’ll take, I want the truth to come out first”.

He also was baffled by the fact that Ghanaians didn’t vent out at Anas who through his various expose’s, revealed the identities of many but are directing their fury at him for exposing the identity of some Tiger Eye members.

“Did Anas show the faces of all the people he supposedly exposed? I’m asking Ghanaians. But because he is bigger than any citizen of this country, we can’t show his face or that of any of his team members?”
“I’ll challenge the system every day, every night. How can you focus on a video rather than going to the house first? The letter he sent to the US congressman is obviously premeditated which makes him even more linked,” the MP stressed.

Mr. Agyapong also believes Anas’ actions may compromise the work of the police and cause the actual culprits to escape.

“Anas who is diverting attention from himself is also a suspect”… There are so many people who should be considered suspects including the judges who were sacked among others. For Anas therefore to limit this thing to me, he is really doing great harm to the investigative process of police.”

“Also, they said they saw the persons on a bike around 3 pm and the incident happened around 10 so it means people saw the person but are not talking that’s why I’m giving all these monies and promises for whoever is willing to talk”

“The police have a problem now in that all those who have information don’t want to speak,” he maintained.
