Aspiring parliamentary candidate for the Yendi Constituency, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama says his aspiration to become Member of Parliament is borne out of his passion to serve the social and developmental needs of the people of Yendi.

He noted he is not seeking political office to enrich himself but to deliver the needed change for a prosperous Yendi.

He also reiterated the fact that the good legacy of his late father and former Vice President of Ghana, H.E Alhaji Alui Mahama lives on without or without his political ambition.

Alhaji Farouk made this known during an exclusive interview on Diamond FM’s Power Drive earlier Tuesday morning with Mohammed Ibn Abdallah (Governor).

According to him, he stands tall amongst his competitors with a vast pool of networks in Ghana and overseas to ensure suitable developments of the area.

He added his NGO Partnership for Poverty Reduction (PPR) will continue the social intervention programs with his global partners when he officially becomes a legislator in 2021.

Mr. Farouk emphasized that he has done more projects and intervention in Yendi than some MPs in the country.
