I will burn down churches – Shatta Wale warns ‘fake’ pastors

Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, known popularly as Shatta Wale has cautioned ‘fake’ pastors to be circumspect of their fake prophecies else he together with his militants will burn their churches by December.

In a Facebook live video monitored by Ghanaweb on Saturday evening, the dancehall ‘king’ stated that he had seen a screenshot of the prophecy where a pastor is saying that he will die; “me I no bi like that ooo”, he said.

“If we catch December and I dey give this long notice because I wan make the whole Ghana see something. You see Shatta Wale dey here, if we catch December wey I dey Me and the Shatta Movement, unless the President come beg we; we go burn churches, we go burn churches for Ghana” he said hitting his hands on his chest.

“Because if pastor you see something about your president, ebi your president ein der you for go”, he added.

The ‘Freedom’ hitmaker who was speaking with so much anger in his eyes said: “Those days, Moses and things dem dey walk from Navrongo go Panga”.

“You people come dey the world inside dey wan live flashy, you wan show we flashy life we go show you who flashy is” he stressed.

“God is flashy and we will show you that when you are his servant, you dey live like one you don’t live like you dey do business and things” he added.

Shatta Wale’s comments come in a wake of the tragic death of the dancehall diva Ebony where some men of God are also claiming that he (Shatta Wale) will die before December.

Shatta Wale, known to never stay silent about anything took to his Facebook page to record a 3 minutes 40 seconds video to lambast those men of God who are wishing him dead.



Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known in showbiz as Ebony Reigns died in a gory accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway after returning from a visit.

Her childhood friend and assistant, Franky Kuri, and their bodyguard, Francis Atsu Vondee, who is also a soldier did not survive the crash.
