I will enhance educational achievements -Appiah-Pinkrah

Akrofuom (Ash), March 8, GNA-An aspiring parliamentarian for the newly-created Akrofuom constituency in the Adansi West District, Mr Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah, has said enhancing educational achievements in schools will be one of his visions for the young constituency.

Mr Appiah-Pinkrah, a development consultant, who wishes to contest on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ticket, said this on Sunday when he led newsmen to inspect two water closet places of convenience he is financing for the Akrofuom community.

The projects estimated at 360 million cedis would have deeply dug boreholes attached to ensure uninterrupted water flow at the toilets. He said apart from education for which he would soon supply a number of books to the schools in the area, improving the infrastructure base would be another priority.

Mr Appiah-Pinkrah said he would assist the financial institutions to grow to serve as a catalyst for the speedy development of the constituency.

The aspiring parliamentarian, stressed on communication and said improving it and the road network would help open up the area. "I have to get the support to link Akrofuom with the other towns and villages and also create market for the people to help improve their lot", Mr Appiah-Pinkrah said.

Referring to the water closet toilets, he said there was the need to change the old systems to help improve sanitation in the township. Mr Appiah-Pinkrah called for total collaboration among the people to facilitate the growth of the new constituency.
