Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated he will soon move to the Volta Region latest next week as part of his campaign tour to expose ‘incompetence President Mahama-led administration.
He said another four-year term under President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership will stab the country’s economy into the deep hole, which would, in turn, lead to negative growth.
Speaking on Nhyira FM, as part of his 4-day campaign tour to the Ashanti region, Akufo-Addo said the party will secure a minimum of 30% of votes in the Volta Region in the December 7 elections.
The NPP’s Presidential candidate added harsh economic conditions in the country are enough testimony to deny the NDC government victory come Decwember7.
According to him, Ghana’s economy falls every year under Mr. Mahama’s leadership, adding that the country is “now having an economic growth of less than four per cent but when Kufuor was leaving, it was nine per cent”.
He indicated that unemployment remained the biggest challenge in Ghana today, with many teeming youths having no jobs to earn a living.
Nana Addo will Friday 21 October, 2016 as part of his campaign address students of the Mampong Nursing and Midwifery Training College to address students his plans for them when voted into office.
