Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has said she will reserve judgment on Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia until he assumes the office of president.
Her statement was in response to a social media user who mocked the vice president, who is also the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The user commented, "Nana, Bawumia can convince you that rainwater comes from the sun," after Nana Aba shared her thoughts on Bawumia's remarks about the fight against illegal mining, known as galamsey.
In her original post, Nana Aba said, "I just listened to Dr. Bawumia’s remarks on galamsey. Glad he’s finally commented on the menace. His solution is the most practical one I’ve heard so far. I hope he walks the talk if he gets the mandate."
Responding to the mocking comment, Nana Aba clarified her position: "I’d rather judge him if he becomes president. The vice presidents of this country are hardly allowed to work effectively."
She further added, "If they will all be honest (and none of them truly can because of loyalty), they don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things."
