A Deputy National Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kwaku Boahen has threatened to pluck an eye of the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Stephen Amoah for speaking ill of the Vice President Papa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur.

Mr. Boahen said if not for the friendship that exists between him and Mr. Amoah affectionately called Sticker, he would have done the unthinkable following a heated argument that ensued between them over a comment purportedly made by the Vice President.

The two traded insults on Kumasi based-Nhyira FM when Mr. Amoah described the Vice President in an unprintable adjectives for claiming that short people need to be elevated to see developmental projects executed by the Mahama led government.

The Vice President is reported to have said on a campaign platform that short people do not appreciate infrastructural developments embarked on by the government.

But Mr. Boahen who was incensed with Sticker’s comments threatened to take his eye out, saying there is nothing wrong with what the Vice President said.

He failed to mention the tool he would have used to pluck Sticker’s eye.

According to the Deputy National Communications Director of NDC, he would not allow anybody to insult the second gentleman of the State and that he is ever ready to go all out in defence of the latter’s comments.

‘Did the Vice President mention anybody’s name, besides there is nothing wrong with what he said. They are short and so cannot appreciate what the government is doing, Sticker and I are good friends, I am really surprised about his action today, I would have plucked Sticker’s eye if he is not my friend. Because of our friendship I would let sleeping dogs lie, we should be mindful of our words when we go on radio to discuss issues concerning our leaders,’ a livid Boahen said.
