The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has assured the Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, that he will continue to pray for him until the presidential elections are held in December.

Dr. Bawumia, who is on a campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, received a significant boost and endorsement when he visited the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday afternoon to share his vision and policies.

Initially, the Asantehene praised Dr. Bawumia for not allowing his position to change him and then commended his vision and policies before assuring him of his prayers.

"I know you, and you have not changed over the years. Your humility is the same. Keep your humility and maintain your decent character," the Asantehene remarked about Dr. Bawumia's character.

Regarding his vision and policies for the nation, the Asantehene urged Dr. Bawumia to "continue to be humble to all Ghanaians" and focus on spreading his vision and good policies.

"Ghana needs development and progress, and I appreciate your vision for the country," he said.

"The mantle in your hand is very huge, so keep spreading your vision and policies to Ghanaians so they can understand you."

"I believe you can move Ghana forward if you get the chance," Otumfuo added and reassured Dr. Bawumia of his continuous prayers.

"God will be with you, and the same God will give you the wisdom to say what Ghanaians will appreciate so that when the time comes, the mantle will be given to you."

"Between now and December, I will never forget you in my prayers. I will keep praying for you," the Asantehene promised.
