Self-acclaimed prophet, Nicholas Osei well known as Kumchacha, has served notice that, he will not make any attempt of staging even an evangelism at Denkyira-Obuasi.
According to him, if the people of Denkyira-Obuasi were to gain ‘salvation’ through his preaching, he would prefer disappointing them so they perish.
Speaking in a radio interview, the preacher said, he will refuse any offer or persuasions of staging a crusade in the town, even when called upon.
“Who will see danger and walk into it? If the people in the town will only gain salvation through my preaching, then I promise them, they’ll perish. I’ll not risk my life for the sake of ‘lost sheep,’ he said. When asked if he will be prepared to set himself aside for the sake of the ‘gospel’, like Apostle Paul did in the Bible, the prophet answered; those calling on me to go there should take the lead; I’ll follow them in the near future. Kumchacha also submitted that, Apostle Paul in the Old Testament, was a 120-years-old man, therefore he’ll not make any attempt to lose his young life,” he explained.
“You can’t compare me to Apostle Paul. Paul was 120-years when he said that, I'm just in my mid 40’s, he Paul had seen it all in life, so he was prepared to die and death was gain for him but at 40-years, death is no gain to me, there’s a vast difference between these two scenarios,” he added.
Prophet Kumchacha in a humorous manner submitted that, he is about distancing himself from some colleague ‘men of God’ who are calling on him to lead a crusade at Denyira-Obuasi, “why, are they themselves footballers”, he quizzed.
Denkyira Obuasi came up for discussion, after some angry youth of the town attacked and killed an army captain, Maxwell Adams Mahama, after accusing him of being an armed robber.
