Former Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission, Dr Toni Aubynn has said he worked with integrity and diligence hence no attempt by any security agency to chase and invite him for mismanagement and misappropriation of funds will be possible.

He said during his tenure, the conditions and requirements one had to satisfy before granting a concession was duly followed.

He was speaking on Dwaboase on Power 97.9 FM in reaction to an allegation made by a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team, Nana Bediako that the Minerals Commission was forced to cede the country’s bauxite at Nyinahin to business man, Ibrahim Mahama because he was a brother to the former president.

Dr. Aubynn, in his response stated, the processes involved in granting the concession was meticulously delved into, adding that the services of both experts in the private sector and the Commission were hired to look into the application of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama before granting it.

“It was a mixture of private sector and minerals commission people who looked into the application. When it comes to my work, I am diligent, I did my work diligently and that is why EOCO, BNI and other security agencies into organized crimes have not invited me since I left office,” he told host Kaakyire Kwesi Appea-Apraku.

He further stated that “I can say to the glory of that the Ibrahim application was diligently and duly reviewed.”
