I would have scattered NPP conference if NDC attended - Anita De-Sosoo

Anita De-Sosoo claims there is no regional balance among the leadership of the NPP Anita De-Sosoo claims there is no regional balance among the leadership of the NPP

Leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De-Sosoo has justified the refusal of the NDC to honour an invitation to attend the just ended National Delegates Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Koforidua

According to the Vice Chairperson of the opposition party, she would have thrown the event into jeopardy if she was asked by the NDC to represent it at the conference and present its goodwill message.

Her reason is that she would have pointed out to the NPP that it was needless for chairman-elect Freddie Blay to have purchased 275 buses for the 275 constituencies when the party has not fulfilled its litany of promises including one district one dam and 1 million dollars per constituency among others for Ghanaians.

Madam De-Sosoo also took a swipe at the NPP for not ensuring regional balance in the election of the national executives

She claimed on Kumasi-based Bohye FM in Kumasi with Agya Yaw Obeng Preko as host monitored by MyNewsGh.com that the party left out some 6 regions while sharing the National Executive positions between 4 regions

According to her, such regional imbalances demonstrates the insensitivity of the NPP-, adding that the NDC has always factored in such issues in it national executive structure

Madam De-Sosoo also claimed that the Ashanti Region which is the NPP’s stronghold and ‘world bank’ has not been treated fairly and should have had more than one national executive

In her opinion, it is only Henry Nana Boakye, the National Youth Organiser-elect that hails from the Ashanti region, a situation she described as woefully unfair.
