The flagbearer of the National Democratic Party, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has boldly stated that she would win the 2012 Presidential elections.
According to her, she is in the race to win and not to destroy the chances of the ruling NDC in the December polls.
“Trust me I am in there to win, why would I take a contest if I don’t want to win, I want to win and I am working towards winning, I definitely want to win”.
The former First Lady also elaborated on her vision for the nation ahead of the 2012 general elections.
She told the press that Job creation and improving upon the health delivery system are her most prioritized areas she intends tackling when voted as President.
“How do we invest in our nation’s most valuable resources; by providing the best in education for our children, by providing the best healthcare, by developing creative ideas to expand the job market and by implementing policies that churn out Ghanaian entrepreneurs to drive the economy.
“We can also do this by ensuring that everybody has a stake in our nation through ownership.
“What excuse can we give for badly maintained and ill equipped hospitals, what excuse can we give to patients in hospitals who are forced to sleep on the floors because there are no beds available...what excuse can we give when exorbitant prices and unjustified judgments debts are paid...there is no excuse” Nana Konadu said.
