Ghanaians woke up on Saturday to the sad news of the passing of Asempa FM presenter, Kojo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA.

The news was that, he had died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra in the early hours of Saturday after being rushed there following a short illness.

His sudden demise has seen the outpouring of emotional tributes by many Ghanaians including President Nana Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Mahama. The latest promin

ent figure to join the long list of people paying tributes is, Professor Ransford Gyampoh, a Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana.

In a touching tribute on his Facebook wall on Sunday, an obviously shocked Prof Gyampoh decried the sudden nature of the Asempa FM presenter's death.

"I recently wrote a recommendation letter for you to pursue further education. "KABA, you interviewed me on your Program just about a week ago. "KABA, you always wore and proudly displayed the tag as my student.

"Unlike Major Mahama"s death that made me shed tears, I am not crying about your painful demise because I believe you contributed your quota towards mother Ghana's political development in your profession within this short period of your existence in earth.

"It's not about the longevity of life that matters most. It's about what you did for mother Ghana. "But wait ooo....How can you just die like that?

I tried calling your two phone numbers but they are all off. ...Your death is painful but I won't cry because I know you've served mother Ghana well in your own way. Just that I feel you are gone too soon and I am sad" he said among other things. he wrote.
