IEA Evening Encounter With Professor Mills

NDC Leader and Presidential Candidate, John Evans Atta Mills, shall, on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, participate in an Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) sponsored, “Evening Encounters With Presidential Candidates”.

According to the IEA, “The purpose of the Encounter is to provide a platform for Aspiring Presidential Candidates to educate the electorate on their vision and plans and provide strategies on how they intend to govern the country”.

In line with what the programme seeks to achieve, the NDC Leader and Presidential Candidate will be touching on his vision for a Better Ghana (i.e. Job Creation, Investing in People, Building a Strong Economy, Infrastructure Expansion, and managing the affairs of state, in an, Open, Honest, Truthful and Transparent manner).

The NDC Leader will also speak to the issues of, Health, Education, Agriculture, Energy, Governance, Fighting the Drug Menace, as well as, how the NDC government he will be leader of, will fight the crime wave that has hit the country.

According to the IEA, attendance is strictly by invitation.

However, the programme, which is scheduled to start at 4.15 p.m. prompt, at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge, will be telecast live on the national broadcaster, GTV. The programme will also carried live on Joy FM. Both networks are co-organizers of the event.

For the records, John Evans Atta Mills, has also committed himself to participating in two debates amongst the presidential candidates, to be organized by the IEA.
