Ibrahim Mahama, the Chief Executive Officer of Planners and Engineers, has covered the medical expenses for a 14-year-old girl battling with a stomach tumor.
The businessman's generous payment is expected to include the cost of surgery, estimated at GH¢75,000, as well as any additional expenses that may arise.
The most recent update was shared by philanthropist Bones Man TV on Facebook, who had previously appealed for funds and donations to assist the victim due to the family's inability to afford the necessary treatment.
He mentioned that thanks to Mahama's coverage of the costs, the donations collected from the public will be given to the teenager's mother to help her establish a business to support her child.
"BREAKING NEWS: I just received a call from the Office of Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, the CEO of Planners and Engineers, through his aide Rafik Mahama, stating that he has covered all the surgery costs for 14-year-old Ayisha, who is suffering from a stomach tumor. This means that all donations received will be given to her mother to start a business to support the girl. Abusua, help me thank Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for this Amazing Love," he shared the update in a Facebook post on December 29, 2024.
The 14-year-old, Ayisha Musa, has reportedly been battling a stomach tumor for the past three years, which she claims has caused water retention in her stomach, leading to swelling.
Ayisha's deteriorating condition, which has resulted in her stomach swelling abnormally each day, has severely affected her health and weakened her body.
In an interview, Ayisha's family revealed that they had been scammed multiple times by dishonest individuals who promised to cure the young girl of her illness.
"...we go to Sunyani for her treatments when we receive small donations from the public. One day in Sunyani, a man approached us to raise funds so he could arrange for his contacts to perform surgery on our child, only to cheat us after sending him GH¢15,000 for the treatment. As of now, we have lost contact with him because he no longer answers our calls," Ayisha's mother disclosed.
