The Bosomtwe branch of pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group, Invisible Forces, have threatened to send the ruling party back to opposition should they dare disband the group.

The Ashanti regional Chairman who doubles as the Bosomtwe constituency chairman on the vigilante group, Richard Techie aka Soldier said, not even the president can disband the group because he has given his full blessing.

According to him, they met with the president on regular basis before the elections and he assured them of his support.

However, some of his appointees have denounced us, he stated.

"We cannot be disbanded. There is no leader or political party with the courage to disband vigilante groups. Since the era of Nkrumah, we have witnessed the existence of vigilante groups so who dares disband us? In his view, the NPP maybe signing their way out of office should they dare disband them?"

He was speaking on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm over what they said is total neglect on the part of their leaders after winning power.

He disclosed they were promised lucrative jobs but after the party won power, they have abandoned us, he added. Richard Techie hinted of a demonstration to be staged by the over 3,700 members of the Invisible Forces in the region to press home their demand for jobs as promised by the NPP.

The date for the demonstration he said will not be disclosed but cautioned the NPP to deliver on their promise to get them jobs before they hit the streets.

When asked if they have top leaders of the party who are in support of their activities, he answered in the affirmative and said, the party printed t-shirts for them, made them swear their oath of office and so the party is aware of our existence.

They used us for the elections. They did not pay us but appealed we sacrifice for them so they will also reward us with any job of our choice but they failed to honour their part of the deal and we are disappointed,’’ he lamented.
